Check stove stove temperature

If it has been working on your stove in the past then we know the stove gets up to a high enough temperature. So there is no need to double check the stove temperature. If it has never been working on your stove before it is probably worth checking the stove temperature. Please also be aware that some thermometers can be inaccurate by as much as 30 degrees.

Check the conrods perfectly vertical and parallel

The conrods need to be PERFECTLY parallel to one another and PERFECTLY vertical. If they are not, extra friction is place on each rotation and this is easily enough to stop the engine. It is easy to knock them and accidently push them by picking the stove fan up or showing it to someone. So if it stove fan stops this is the most likely cause.

It is very easy to correct. Put the unit on a flat surface and look sideways one. Use your finger to push the top of the conrods slightly until they are perfectly aligned. The photo shows the conrod on the right miss-aligned.
